As a part of our mission of preparing students for professional careers, the UH Hilo Career Center administers selected examinations for graduate & professional school admissions and professional certification examinations.

Notice to Test Takers with Documented Disabilities:

The UH Hilo Testing Center cannot grant any accommodation to test takers unless it has been pre-approved by the test vendor (ETS or LSAC).  

For tests administered by ETS (both paper & computer-based), which include the GRE, Gre-Subjects, and PRAXIS, you need to notify ETS before registering for any exam in order to be granted accommodations. You can find more information and get contact information on the following websites:

Parking on Campus

Test takers who have a week-day testing appointment will need to pay the $3.00 visitor daily parking fee (Cash Only). Visitors must buy a daily parking pass, good in all lots, from the Main Entrance kiosk on Kawili Street, the Zone 6 Lanikaula Street entrance, or at the UH Hilo Parking Office. On the weekends, parking is free.

Practice Examinations Available

UH Hilo and Hawai'i Community College students can take free GMAT, LSAT, MCAT, GRE, ASVAB, TOEFL, Praxis, and many, many other practice tests anytime online through the Edwin H. Mookini Library's subscription to Learning Express E-Books.

Just pick "Learning Express E-Books" from the Library's "Alphabetical List of Databases" page, located in the lower-left-hand area of the Library's homepage, library.uhh.hawaii.edu

Create your own free account, select the tests you'd like to take, and go! There are generally more than one practice test for each area, so you can practice multiple times with different questions. You can also take each test an unlimited number of times.

Learning Express E-Books also includes a wide array of vocational licensing practice tests, as well as online tutorial courses to improve writing, math, reading, and other essential academic skills.
